The Justice for Workers Now! Coalition was formed by a consortium of Labor Leaders, Unions, and working people in 2008 in response to the overwhelming injustices of the National Labor Relations Board.
The Board, under Chairman Batista, over the last several years has massacred the dignity of workers and trampled on their rights in the workplace. The NLRB has recently turned decades of established labor law upside-down, abandoned their responsibility to administer the NLRA by both letter and spirit.
The NLRB under Bush has stripped millions of workers of opportunity for employment free of discrimination, intimidation, and coercion. Entire segments of the working population have been deprived even of the right to join a union.
Employers now threaten physical violence against union activists with impunity, all in the name of federally sanctioned "legitimate business interests."
The very human rights violations and atrocities that our nation condemns around the world, are happening right here in this Nation.
As so many times before, the Union Movement is stepping up and confronting injustice. Justice for Workers Now! is fighting for the rights of all working people. We are encouraging public officials to embrace our ideals and promote our cause in the interest of safeguarding commerce, since the NLRB refuses to do so. We are inviting every man and woman who work for a living to participate in the Labor Movement and have a voice in healing the wounds suffered by the working class over the past several years.
Our Coalition is growing daily both in numbers and in solidarity.
